Introduction to Bonsai

Riverland Nursery, Fort Myers, FLRiverland Nursery will host a presentation by members of the Bonsai Society of Southwest Florida on the history and cultural foundations of Oriental plant design, and the tools and techniques used in creating, cultivating and appreciating bonsai.

Jim Gehring and Jim Bremer, officers of the Society, will explain how to select appropriate nursery material for bonsai, and will demonstrate trimming and shaping methods used to create attractive bonsai forms.  Questions are invited and encouraged.
