We select and purchase plants from among the best growers throughout Florida.  Hundreds of plants are ordered and delivered each week to Riverland to ensure the “freshest” and best specimens of each variety.

Delivery, Installation, & Special Orders

Customers purchasing plants at Riverland have the option of affordable delivery determined by the destination distance.  Expert installation is also available.  Special orders can be placed to secure the exact plant and size to fit our customers planting objectives.

Landscape Projects

Many homeowners have landscape projects large and small and often don’t know where to begin. We suggest that customers bring measurements, pictures and/or videos of project areas to discuss with our experienced staff of trained horticulture experts to make recommendations. Butterfly Gardening

Riverland is committed to advance plants that attract butterflies, birds, bees, hummingbirds, and other wildlife.  We have been fortunate to design and install beautiful butterfly gardens for homeowners, golf courses and other communities throughout our area.  We purchase nectar and larval plants from pesticide-free growers throughout the state.  Look for upcoming classes on how to create a successful butterfly garden.

Classes

Riverland is an education-focused nursery providing classes on various plant topics throughout the year in a spacious and recently constructed facility.  The classroom is air-conditioned and is often used to host plant-related community functions such as garden clubs and HOA committee meetings.  Please let us know you if have interest in using these complimentary facilities.

Demonstration Gardens

We encourage our customers to stroll leisurely through our expansive nursery to see what some of our favorite plants actually look-like growing in the garden.  We have several gardens including a butterfly, Florida natives, hedge & foundation plants, and bamboo.  We will shortly be creating an edible plant garden.  We also have signs displayed on hundreds of plants throughout the nursery so that visitors can quickly learn more about each of them.

Trees & Palms

Provide much needed shade, character and color to our Florida gardens. Riverland has an extensive selection of trees and palms including native and tropical, fast-growing, ornamental, shade-providing, cold-tolerant, and very unique specimens. We have an abundant selection in various container sizes to fit any budget.

Shade Plants

Shade plants are among nature’s most beautiful and striking plants.  Many of these can tolerate different amounts of sunlight.  Visit our shade house with its spacious selection of unique plants and bring your camera.
